exhibit a) of present day gender inequality. i have never seen the headline of “featuring a strong male lead,” on any of the movies with male main characters. basically what this is saying is that men are automatically “strong male leads.” that is would be redundant to say so. while when females are the main characters it must be pointed out when that particular character happens to be “strong” or not. otherwise the inverse is to be expected. just. ew.
